DECEMBER 2006

Another year draws to a close and this one seems to have been faster than most. We hope you have enjoyed our music and performances throughout the year in all our varied guises and line ups. After the unfortunate line up upheavels in 2005, it is pleasing to note that Cold Flame have reconsolidated during this year and the future looks promising again for the band both on and off the field of play. It would therefore be remiss not to say a huge thank you for loyal support when it really mattered. Collectively everyone at Cold Flame HQ wishes the very best in festive goodwill to all our friends, relations and fans of the Band. Meantime apart from some new info on the band find out what Jethro Tull and Wild Turkey will be getting up to in the Spring.

WEBSITE NEWS
Our good friend and webmaster Pete has been busy keeping the website up to date and tweeking things here and there. The Gallery section for instance is now much more direct and of course the news and gig guide sections undergo regular updates. Ben Rossington, Davyd and Patrick have also been very busy developing the myspace account at www.myspace.com/coldflameuk whilst messages can be posted at blog.myspace.com/coldflameuk This website is really excellent in introducing Cold Flame music to a whole new audience worldwide. The site can be accessed through the link available in the top right hand box of our News page. New full length downloads of Flame tunes are now available on this site.

NEW RELEASES
We had hoped to bring you some brand new music in time to fill Christmas stockings. Sadly time has caught up with us but the good news is that the band will be working overtime this month to ensure that some at least of our current recording projects are completed for release as soon as possible into the new year. Details to be released in January but hopefully you will feel that the wait has been worthwhile.

GIGS 2007
Some really exciting deveolpments are in hand as next year Cold Flame will be concentrating on performing both Flame original and Jethro Tull tribute shows in larger venues. Bookings are currently being sorted for gigs throughout next year and confirmed dates and additional info will be posted on the Cold Flame website within the next few weeks. Meantime the band are actively engaged in performing both rock and acoustic gigs throughout December including a Tull tribute show in Leeds at The New Roscoe on Sunday December 3rd from 8.30pm onwards. Also worth mentioning is a Cold Flame Acoustic festive special on Thursday December 28th at The New Lamp in Hadfield. For more details check out the gig guide.

WILD TURKEY
As you may have gathered, Glenn Cornick and his band featuring singer Gary Pickford Hopkins, gutarist Mick Dyche and legendary drummer Clive Bunker ( 2 original members of Jethro Tull reunited on one stage) recorded a new studio album earlier this year - You and Me in the Jungle - and toured the UK in late September/ early October. This included a support slot for Cold Flame Acoustic. The good news is that Wild Turkey will be touring the UK again in March 2007 and with Glenn already working on new material, it seems clear that Wild Turkey are back with a vengeance and most welcome to. You can check out news about the Turks on their myspace website - myspace.com/glenncornickswildturkey

Did we mention that Cold Flame will be supporting Wild Turkey on their March 2007 tour. Ha...must have slipped our minds. Stay tuned for further news.

Ian Anderson and Martin Barre will be playing several Acoustic Tull dates across Britain in March/April 2007. Tickets are now on sale from the respective box offices. To coincide with this tour EMI is intending to release the "Best Of Acoustic Jethro Tull" in March 2007 featuring some bonus acoustic tracks recorded live in concert. She'll also play with Ian and Martin on many classic Tull songs and tunes as well as some Ian Anderson/Tull material not performed before in the UK.
